As the last race of the cyclocross season, Montrose Beach CX is packed with fun features and always promises an engaged, fun, and loud crowd. This race is the last of the Chicago Cross Cup series, and it’s the Illinois State Cyclocross Championship, which means you’re guaranteed some great racing–as a participant or spectator.
Taking place on the Chicago lakefront, over cricket hill and onto the beach, the course has challenging terrain backed up with beautiful views of the skyline (weather dependent, probably too cloudy to see anything). Easily accessible by red line or numerous buses, it is a great chance to come out and see the final race of the season.
