Thank you to the Track Cat supporters!

If you registered for "Kevin's Crits,": you had the opportunity to donate to "Yojimbo's Track Cats,": an organization that gets Chicago kids racing on the track.

Thanks (so far) go out to Trevor Rolette, Tyler Avery, Kevin Clark, Chris Jensen, Avi Neurohr, Jeff Perkins, William Seliger,  Ben Van Couvering, and Michael Young.

If you missed that little box on the registration form, no worries, we'll have a can at the registration table.  Every little bit helps!


Cycling for a cause...

Half Acre Cycling is supporting the Cycle for ALS this Saturday, an indoor spin-a-thon to raise funds for the fight against ALS.  Element Multisport will be hosting the Chicago ride from 10am to 6pm, and Half Acre riders will be taking some shifts on the trainer as well as spreading the word and raisin' some funds for the cause.  "Click here to help out.":

For the fourth straight year "The Blazeman Foundation for ALS": is calling for a day of unity and encourages endurance athletes, cyclists, and volunteers of all athletic abilities to hop on bicycles Saturday Feb.7, 2009 at YMCA’s, gyms and communities across the country for the fourth annual "ALS Cycle for ALS.": Proceeds will benefit The Blazeman Foundation.

Our event will be hosted at "Element Multisport", 2754 N Clybourn Ave, Chicago, IL on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 10AM to 6PM. The event is open to the public and we are looking for participants and contributors to help support our cause. Come by and spin with us, create your own fundraising team, or provide financial assistance to the efforts. For questions about this event or to sign up for a slot, please contact Mike Swyt,
